Keeping your pearl wax heater clean ensures it works efficiently and lasts longer. Since pearl wax (also called sand wax or wax beads) can leave sticky residue inside the pot, proper cleaning is essential. Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Turn Off and Unplug
Always switch off your heater and unplug it. Allow it to cool down slightly, but keep it a little warm—this makes the wax easier to remove.
Step 2: Remove Excess Wax
Use a wooden spatula or scraper to carefully scoop out any leftover melted wax. Do not use sharp metal objects, as they can damage the heater.
Step 3: Wipe with Wax Strips or Cotton Pads
Take a wax strip, paper towel, or cotton pad and gently wipe the inside while the wax is still warm. For hardened wax, let the heater warm slightly to soften it first.
Step 4: Use a Cleaner or Oil
Apply a small amount of a wax pot cleaner or mineral oil (baby oil also works) to a cloth. Rub the interior to dissolve stubborn residue.
Step 5: Final Wipe
Once all wax is removed, use a clean dry cloth to wipe the pot, ensuring no oily film remains before your next use.
